 11 year old Ryan Baer of Apple Valley, MN is feeling the bite, while fishing with the Santiva Saltwater Fishing Team on Friday.
Fishing conditions have been perfect off Captiva Island, Florida. Ryan and his dad, Clayton were lucky to watch some of the first tarpon of the season, roll around the boat all afternoon. Clayton Bare told the Santiva Fishing Team captain that he has been trying to catch a tarpon for 20 years. We encourage Clayton to return to our area in May or June which are primary Tarpon fishing months. March is too early for serious Tarpon fishing.
But a great afternoon was enjoyed catching sharks and just watching the Tarpon roll. |
