From time to time, I get questions about former 1st mate Tommy. Tommy no longer goes with Capt. Jim Burnsed . But for 25 years he was the 1st and only mate for the Santiva Saltwater Fishing Team. Tommy turned 61 last June and now has some dementia. He spends his days with me making pot holders, watching TV, riding around on his lawn tractor and doing his best to drive me crazy (haha) He is happy

In April Tommy will start spending 3 1/2 days a week at the center for the disabled. They have dances, movies and teach independent living skills. Tommy's first class will be learning to cook with the microwave. Jim said I will never get him to go, but I think it will be good for him to be around people again

Tommy is a big part of our family and we all love him. The Burnsed's have been blessed thru Tommys life
